Why Statement

Why: Our culture will advance with every comprehensive learner that we help create. I believe that if students were put into a position to learn and lead with the soft and employability skills developed through e-portfolio-based-learning the world would be a more stable place.

I truly believe that we could push the culture forward by facilitating a learning environment that will help create comprehensive learners, who will in terms be our leaders of tomorrow. In the digital age leadership is impressionable.

How: The way we can help develop comprehensive learners at the secondary level is through e-portfolios. We are going to create an environment where students are able to track their growth, own their learning, and be radically transparent about their learning experience.

What: A successful implementation of e-portfolios will generate great intrinsic value. We will help prepare comprehensive learners who will not only exceed expectations in the classroom, but in corporate America as well.

According to Simon Sinek Tedtalk “The goal is to collaborate with people who believe in what you believe in. In my attempt to find personnel to aid me in my plan of creating comprehensive learners through e-portfolio-based learning, I ask that we lead with purpose. This mindset will motivate us collectively to endure the rigors of this process. To pinpoint if you’re on par with my intention behind this plan, ask yourself “Are you involved?” or “Are you invested in your students’ education? When you’re involved you just go with the flow and possibly do the bare minimum, but when you’re invested you immerse every iota of sweat, energy, and brawn power that you have into accomplishing something. This is no different, besides the advancement of our culture and the future of our youth counts on it. Understand that before you can visualize something it has to resonate in your heart first. If you can find it in your heart to see a plan through, you will go into a relentless pursuit to uphold the purpose that compelled you to start. I’m big on social and emotional intelligence and these qualities will be developed through e-portfolio-based learning and they’ll make our students better children, employees, and leaders. It’s our job as master facilitators to create a learning environment that will increase their overall well-being.
