As an Educator for the Memorial Healthcare System, I am very passionate about building leaders of tomorrow. I believe my passion for doing so has propelled me into the realm of education. As a master facilitator I understand how vital my role is to the kids that I encounter on a daily basis. This innovation plan was constructed with the intent to propel students towards career development and college readiness. Down below is my call to action video. This is my attempt to persuade my peers, colleagues, and higher-ups to adopt and endorse the idea of implementing e-portfolios.

Innovation Proposal:

My innovation proposal is based on incorporating e-portfolios or digital platforms students could use to own their learning experience. Through the process of creating their e-portfolios students will be able organise artefacts, find their voice, and reflect on progress. It is important to know that who the student becomes in the process of creating their e-portfolio is far more important than the finished product.

Literature Review:  

Before I could ask for any provisions to initiate or pilot my innovation plan, I had to immerse myself into a long and strenuous process of research. This included me pondering through hundredths of pre-existing literature that catered to the implementation of e-portfolios. I didn’t take this process lightly because I’m aware that only 9% of the time, new education programs are implemented and backed by research.

Implementation Outline: 

Now that my innovation plan is backed by research, I can move forward confidently because I know the benefits and advantageous this product could present before our students. The implementation component of this process is imperative, as a visionary it’s important that I plan my work and work my plan. So I’ve constructed a detailed plan that I hope other educators will find appealing.

ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY 

“Readership Renders Revenue” is a term that I coined and I believe this is nothing but the truth. Reading increases our mental acuity and it can cultivate great yields. Dissecting books has allowed me to establish an adequate amount of intellectual property, information that will not only benefit myself, but my students, colleagues, mentees etc. Below is a myriad of books that I believe will help propel me to newer heights as I set out on a quest to become a master facilitator.
